I began my career in 2001 as a Research Associate at NASA’s Ames Research Center, where I explored human memory and decision-making—an experience that ignited my passion for data science and AI. I later transitioned into tech, joining eBay as a Corporate Strategy Lead, then Amazon, where I led high-impact analytics initiatives.
In 2007, I founded Raven Analytics, a data science consultancy, while also serving as Senior Director of Research at Adchemy, developing machine learning solutions for digital marketing. My path then led me to Expedia in 2013 to lead a machine learning team, followed by a role at Avvo, where I helped integrate NLP into legal tech products.
Since 2017, I’ve held multiple leadership roles at Microsoft—first as Director, then Senior Director, and currently as Deputy Director. I now lead strategic partnerships in generative AI, geospatial analysis, and sustainability. These partnerships have allowed me to contribute to academic research as well, including work on computer vision and acoustics, and authored AI for Social Good, a book advocating for ethical AI that serves the public interest.
