How I can help you ?
Here are the areas of expertise in which I can support you
- Launching a startup in Africa — from idea to first revenue, with real on-the-ground insights
- Scaling operations — what I’ve learned managing dozens of markets at Bolt and Wave
- Raising pre-seed funding — structuring your case, identifying the right stakeholders, and avoiding common pitfalls in Francophone Africa
- Entering a new market — Abidjan, Dakar, Cotonou, Nairobi: each market has its own rules
About Me
I started as an entrepreneur. At 22, I founded BuuPass, a digital ticketing platform built from scratch in Kenya, which won the Hult Prize in 2016.
I then joined two of the most ambitious tech companies in the world: Bolt, the Estonian unicorn and Uber’s main competitor in Africa, and Wave Mobile Money, a U.S.-based unicorn valued at $1.7 billion, where I served as Country Launcher. These experiences shaped my expertise in growth, large-scale operations, and international expansion.
Today, I am the co-founder of Mstudio, a startup studio that leverages technology to transform the informal sector in Francophone Africa—a sector that represents more than 70% of the region’s economy.
In three years, I have funded 10 startups, raised €8.65 million, built a combined portfolio valuation of €32.1 million, and contributed to 68% of early-stage funding rounds in Côte d’Ivoire since 2023.
Why I’m doing this ?
A useful and practical workshop. I particularly took away the importance of clearly defining the content of a pitch deck. This session allowed me to step back and clarify my vision to better structure what comes next.
This fundraising workshop helped me better understand how to clearly define my financial needs and structure my presentation to investors. I also learned how to identify the right partners based on the nature and stage of my project.
A session that lays strong foundations for approaching fundraising with method and clarity.
I would like to thank Leslie for her attentiveness, insight, and precision. This exchange was concrete, with immediately actionable solutions. 💪🏾❤️🔥
