About Me
With a unique expertise in Afro-fusion cuisine and culinary entrepreneurship, my career is dedicated to elevating and promoting African cuisine on the international stage.
Trained in Germany, I refined my craft in Michelin-starred restaurants such as Schote, Life, and Aqua before founding Meza Malonga in Kigali in 2020. This restaurant pushes the boundaries of African gastronomy and has been recognized among the world’s top dining destinations by publications like Food & Wine.
In 2016, I launched Chefs in Africa, a digital platform connecting and promoting African culinary talent worldwide, now boasting over 4,000 members. Additionally, I founded the Culinary Innovation Village, a Rwanda-based initiative focused on sustainable food solutions in response to climate challenges.
My work has earned several accolades, including a nomination for the Basque Culinary World Prize and recognition in Forbes 30 Under 30. Through my initiatives, I strive to build an ecosystem of culinary excellence in Africa, where tradition meets modernity to showcase the richness of the continent’s gastronomy.
