My journey
I am an investment professional with over 20 years of experience in climate finance, sustainable investing, and infrastructure. As co-founder and CEO of Mwaana, I am dedicated to protecting African ecosystems, with the ambition of preserving 100 million hectares of forest by 2035.
Prior to this, I led the Gabonese Strategic Investment Fund (FGIS), a sovereign wealth fund where I initiated innovative projects such as Africa’s first $500 million debt-for-nature swap and the monetization of 90 million tons of REDD+ credits. My commitment to using finance to stimulate both economic growth and environmental preservation has led me to advise international initiatives such as the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) and the Voluntary Carbon Market Integrity Initiative (VCMI).
Recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and an Archbishop Tutu Fellow, I have been featured on platforms such as Bloomberg Green and the Financial Times, illustrating my commitment to building a sustainable future for the continent.
